New here...just moved to Scottsdale,AZ
Hi,
This is my first time posting on this site....I am so happy to find a site with Brit Expats in America. Not just for me but more for my boyfriend.
This is a long story!
But to cut it short I was born in Scotland and moved to America when I was 14....that ws 14 years ago...so I have my Green Card.
About 2 years ago I moved to Prague and that is where I met my English boyfriend, Mark.
He got offered a job in Scottsdale and here we are! We have never lived here before...when I moved to America 14 years ago..I was moved to Missouri.
We both feel like a fish out of water and I really feel that it is hard on Mark. He had never been to America before and now we are living here....
I was just wondering if there were any Expats in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and if you all ever get together?
I'm sure we would both welcome conversations with fellow Expats..Especially Mark!

You are luckier than most! Do a search - I think Fatbrit, Partystar and some others had a meet-up just a week or so ago.

You are very lucky because there are literally hundreds of Brits living in and around Phoenix, Scottsdale, Surprise e.t.c Especially Surprise as you have the Air Force base right down the road in Glendale. Good luck, You should love it there!

We do meetups though British Expats in Phoenix but tend to gabble on here.
BTW, I also did consular filing through Praha, although this was only because Blava doesn't do immigrant visas and Wien is too stuck up to deal with such untermenschen!

Well..the Übermensch bit is our birthright, is it not? Don't think the septicness has altered it at all yet, but as it's only 48 hours old I suppose we shall have to wait and see.
