Default new friends

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my thread.

I moved from the uk to texas almost a year and half ago, life is good but for one thing. My 16 year old daughter has found it very hard to make/keep any new friends, is there any other home sick child out there who would like to write to mine and and share a moan with...

I have tried to get her to join clubs, to offer to have sleep overs but nothing.
Has any one else been through this and came out happy?

thank you karen

Got exactly the same situation in our house. Where in Texas are you? We are in Dallas. We've been here the same amount of time and have a 16 year old daughter in the same boat. There is it seems, a very big difference between 16 year old British girls and 16 year old Texan girls.

I've just asked my daughter and she is happy to swap tales of angst in Texas

Yes I got it, sorry, it took me an age to notice I had a pm, I've replied to you and if I can get my daughter to stop playing Sims 2 for a few minutes we should be able to hook them up.

Ditto to that, I lived in TX and now in Cali and I feel that way.
