It may become officially law tomorrow (July 1) but let's see how much this law is enforced.

while i no longer live in the valley ... i think this is a welcome change.

cell phone use whilst driving is dangerous... simple as that...doesn't matter how well you claim to do it... its dangerous.

Umm, you could ignore the call. Pull over and take it. Ignore it and then pull over and call back. Have your phone turned off when driving. Plenty of other choices!

Can you get your employer to source a hands-free set for you?

To be honest if you are taking 30 calls a day I doubt you will find a bluetooth device with good enough battery life, it has been law in the UK for a while now and like you my car used to be my office. I would either go with the standard wired headset or have the car fitted with the speaker and mic, the second option is more expensive but a far better system than bluetooth or wired.

Well just managed to get the last headset from Staples with a mouth piece, but got to laugh it takes more to get the damn thing on and off and then dial the number on the cell then it did before,(not going to wear it all the time) my but I checked with the sheriff next door neighbour and he said they are legal weird if you ask me, plus I have 2 phones lol so have to keep switching the headset connection over

I will just have to suck it up, what is really annoying my car is an 08 model with no sync

It's been the law in this state since last summer....it's not enforced...I've even seen cops talking on mobile phones while driving...

It came about because some mother got pissed with the state because her kid died in a car crash while talking on his mobile...she couldn't sue anyone, and he was talking to her at the time....
