Yes alligators too, (2 of them behind my house), there are alligators in virtually every body of water in Florida. Also HUGE spiders!

I know we viewed lakeside properties in Windermere. I'm not denying the houses and views are nice but there are far too many of them. Stepford is the word that sprang into my mind. :eek:

If you want to be close to shops and restaurants ect then the area will be more populated - orlando is a suburban city but it's surrounded by more rural areas for example you can drive 20 mins and be in Clermont which is far more rural and has a state park. Orlando gets a raw deal when everyone just immediately thinks of Disney World and tourism, it's no different to London and surrounding areas just immediately being associated with the west end.

...and it's stupidly humid with no beach! :D
