Need EAD for SSN? E3D visa
Hi, my wife wants to apply for SSN and she is on E3D visa. Does she need an EAD to get an SSN or she can obtain an SSN without EAD since EAD takes 3 months and SSN takes a week.

She can apply for an SSN, but until she receives the EAD she is not authorised to work - and the SS Card is likely to say just that.

I have no EAD (e3d) but needed to get SSN to get driving license. Go one with no problems but obviously can't work on it
