We took our trip to NYC in the summer time. First 2 days were 100 degrees. Phew, thankfully it cooled off a bit. The lights and the skating look gorgeous, and I would love to see it at Xmas, but I couldn't stand the cold.

I absolutely love NYC, and would like to do another trip. I love all the skyscrapers, etc. The deli's. The double-decker bus rides!!

My SIL went up there for new year's several years ago. The weather was so brutally cold that they had to go back to the hotel before midnight. Then they found out they had been pickpocketed!

It's true...have you every been to the Chart House in Weehawken? It's located at the end on a pier...right opposite the ESB. It's one of the best views of the city IMHO...the other being from Liberty State Park.

I hope you are enjoying this trip down 5th Ave, lol I live by the Walman rink (near the Plaza) so I will even do it on my own, everyone chats to people at Christmas anyway.

I live on Madison in the 60's, round the corner from park gates, 2 minute walk to Strawberry Fields
