Re: NE Expat Get Together?
It's the traditional time of year to be looking ahead to planning getaway trips and holidays.....
One thing I miss is getting together with family and friends for a weekend away....sharing bottles of wine and having a good laugh and now it's mainly just myself and husband, rather than being amongst a group of people.
I've just discovered that there is a 'campground' in (don't barf ) Hershey, PA where you can rent log cabins or you can take your own tent, plus there are loads of motels and hotels nearby too (plus the posh Hershey Hotel & Spa). It could be fun to stay in a log cabin!

Directions & Driving Times from major cities/regions in the NE:

Attractions:

http://www.hersheypa.com/index.html (Personally speaking I don't think I'd bother with Hershey's Chocolate World though LOL!)
Just wondering if it's feasible for some expats to consider having an weekend getaway in Hershey in late Spring or early Summer before the schools break up? There seems to be plenty to do in the surrounding area (the adventure/theme park), Amish country etc. We could perhaps just meet up in the evening(s) if preferred?
Any interest?

We could possibly be pursuaded! I haven't been on BE for a couple of days or I would have responded sooner. Hershey is about 3 hrs from here I think, not to bad really.

Too far away for me, unfortunately. I got all excited and then looked at the map! Nice idea though
