Separate tax...sometimes called a town excise tax, that's what it is in MA....it's $25 for every $1000 value of the car, that the state thinks it is worth.
Our 11 year old car hasn't dropped in value since the day we bought it :lol: It's annual....if you don't pay it within a couple of months, they add on a whole bunch of extras...perhaps that is what is happening here? |

Its just something I've never heard of....just shows how different things can be. We are taxed a road tax, but nothing about property taxes for cars...:unsure:
One can be got out of if the car is beached and not driven on public roads but then they get you on the other at the very least, cheeky sods :D |
