N400 application pending - Green Card about to expire
I'm in a bit of a pickle here.
After 10 years Stateside, I finally decided to get off my rump and apply for Citizenship.
Here's my timeline:
March 19, 2005 application received in VT
June 27, 2005 fingerprints taken
I have heard nothing since. I checked the USCIS website and it says that the Manchester NH office is processing applications dated November 2004. At this rate, my Green Card will have expired ( April 2006 ).
Should I apply for a new Green Card?
Are the dates on the website correct?
Anyone else from NH have any insight into this process?

I'd say that just in case.. you should apply now for a GC.

An expired GC has no effect on your status as a Legal Permanent Resident, so if you have no plans to travel out of the country, why bother getting a new one?
