Skivvy in the UK means a servant or maid.
Skivvies in the US are pants!

I've heard of pants, (i.e. Y-fronts) being referred to as skivvies in the UK - I've not heard that one here though, well, not that I go around discussing underpants with complete strangers... :p

Bin=Trash can/garbage
My daughters first week of school they were all told to put their homework in the bin, yep, she did just that! The teacher asked her why she hadn't handed her homework in, she said I did it's in the bin like you said!! Took her a few moments to explain what she had done with it while her face grew redder and redder, bless!!!!!!
