Yes, I am sure it was always whitish. The packs we buy are "Made In Denmark", yet the butter is the same color as Kerry G. Maybe they changed it in UK. I will have to ask someone back home.

speaking of buns, place out in the next town finally has some at 6 for $3...don't look good though...and apparantly they also have sausage rolls, but didn't have any in...so have to keep an eye out and see what there like sometime

Local buns: My local Food Emporium, has some 6 for $3, but they look & taste disgusting. Someone bought them for me last year. They don't have that thin sugar cross. They have icing thats about quarter inch thick stuck on top. From memory, they have peel in the buns.
