A question; have you listened to the words of "Land of Hope and Glory", Jerusalem, The British Grenadiers, etc. They are just as jingoistic, just in a different way

Re: My friends ask me why I love America
Thats hilarious
you notice that pretty much everything featured was of the NATURAL beauty, nature and scenery that america has to offer. Nothing at all of the people or culture. The irony of being that plenty of people here do their best to wreck the nature as best they can, with their power boats on every lake every weekend, their hunting, development of huge cities like LA, oil drilling in alaskan refuges, pollution on an scale never seen before from giant cars belching out millions of tonnes of co2 and other noxious gasses, carpeting the countryside with freeways etc.
Now If you compare that promtional movie with something from say an english tourist board I bet the english one will feature both natural beauty but also culture history and people. It all goes to reaffirm my view that america is an inhumane place. A place with little human scale or identiy and represents a place where humans struggle to live together and find a place for themselves when faced with the enormous scale of nature here.
This sounds a bit garbled but my brain is still mushy after watching that thing

I thought the yacht had been retired. Do they have another one by the way? Or is that just not done in these modern times?

Actually it's not that romantic really...pretty much everything on there still goes on in everyday life. Very good stuff.
