Moving to the USA? Don't use Comcast.
Have a listen to the efforts one has to go to to disconnect his service.
The problem here, of course, isn't this guy in isolation, but rather the direction from the truly evil overlords that run NBC Comcast.

So when Comcast has tens of millions of customers you're proposing people should take decisions based on a sample of one bad experience.
Would you care to recommend an alternative service provider(s) with a perfect 100% customer satisfaction rating?

Or they can do it the easy way by disconnecting their equipment and bringing it to the local Comcast office and turn it back in.

company. Given most Americans have a total choice of one provider in their area (soon to be a near monopoly for Comcast in a lot of areas when their corrupt lobbyist & political friends push through their take over of TWC) you can hardly use that as a barometer of a providers service levels!
Customers in America, literally, have no other choice for Internet provider in many areas. It's a real irony given their love of capitalism and the marketplace.

Yes. Absolutely I am. Comcast are widely derided as an Internet services

In case you didn't know, AT&T sold of their broadband services to Comcast in 2001 making Comcast the number 1 cable provider and AT&T exiting the market. Then in 2006, AT&T reentered the market with a horrible concept.

AT&T have a fabulous idea for handling tv problems. You go online to a chat function and they do various things to make you reset your systems. When you reset your systems you loose the online chat. When your system restarts you end up back at step one with a new online chat person stuck in an endless cycle of swearing. By comparison I tweeted Comcast about my problems. Next day three technicians and a supervisor arrive and stayed for 4 hours until everything worked.

I don't always agree with HH (ok, never) but I have to agree here. Comcast is about the worst provider I've ever dealt with and not just recently either. The first time I dealt with them was in the mid-90s when I lived in California. Their customer service alone was the pits. We moved back to the US 10 years ago and I didn't want to give them a chance, but of course I backed down and we tried them out for a couple of years. Not exactly as bad as the featured person who is trying to disconnect their Comcast, but I felt just as harassed when I disconnected mine! Dish comes in a close second behind Comcast for crappy service as well!

I have never stated that. What I have implied is that Comcast should not be allowed to take over TWC. Their entire cable market in the US needs overhaul, but of course, that would lead to 'competition', something firms (and their regulators) hate with a passion.

I've never had problems with Comcast. In fact, I'm not against Comcast buying TWC since in most cases, Comcast has better equipment and TWC hasn't been spending money to upgrade their systems. Since both monopolize their own areas, I don't know why someone might worry about it if Comcast will likely do a better job.
