We're moving from Sydney to Vegas and I'm just wondering whether anyone has any suggestion for a cheap and safe freight service to carry 200-300Kg of stuff.

We relocated from Melbourne, VIC, in 2007. My company used Nuss something (you can probably google for thir info) and they were very professional. However, I am not sure if they handle excess baggage, which your case might fall into. There are excess baggage handling companies around in AU, but I have not used them. Sometimes, you can go to international students service or a union at a uni near you. They are likely to have a lot of flyers, brochures or pamphlets, from different companies there.
