Re: Moving to San Diego

I live in Murrieta, Riverside County, it is commutable to SD ( my husband commutes to Carlsbad) it is low crime, cheaper to live. I do not yet have a care but public transport is quite good (walking anywhere is difficult due to lack of footpaths). The people are really friendly, albeit a little abrupt sometimes).
My husband is on 75k and we have four children. Our house rent is for a very nice large house (we even have a pool table) and it is $2150 pm.

We are just about paying our bills etc but we know all will be good once I get a work permit and start bringing in the pennies. Remember, when you get here you don't have a credit history so you have to pay cash for everything.

We have found Yard/estate/garage sales and also local selling sites very helpful. We had a relocating agency help us but they weren't the best

We did not move here for the money we came for the lifestyle and are thoroughly enjoying it. You don't want to look back and say '' I wish I had done that when I had the opportunity '' do it now. At the end of the day if it doesn't work you can go back. Good luck
