Moving personal items to the U.S. from Canada

Hi,

I am trying to find the most inexpensive way to move my belongings
from Toronto to Las Vegas. Alot of people have suggested just driving
back to Canada, picking up a U-haul and driving back to Nevada.
Problem is that it's a very long drive and I've done it once and would
really not like to do it again. I don't have alot of stuff to move.
Just a couch, a bed, a bunch of stereo stuff, a 33 inch TV, a bookcase
or two and a dresser. The cost of the couch and stereo stuff probably
makes it worth moving. I got one quote from a big mover in Canada for
about 1600 U.S. Does anyone have any other ideas? I am willing to
pick my stuff up in CA or AZ or UT and the time it takes to move does
not really matter.

Also, will customs want to charge me duty on this stuff?

Thanks for help.

Chris

Work out how to crate it up and check the size of the crate. Ask how
much to ship the crate. That could be a lot cheaper.
