Default Moving out of the district after filing for AOS

My husband and I might move from Alabama (Atlanta district) to Louisiana (New Orleans district). What would happen if I filed for AOS before moving? Would they transfer my file to New Orleans after I notified them of the move? Has anybody ever experienced this situation?

Thanks!

Hi:

I have experienced in LOS with moves to SFO.

One of two things will happen -- the file will be transferred. Or it won't.

If it is not and you are interviewed in Atlanta, one of two things will happen on the jurisdictional issue: Atlanta will keep it, or they will transfer it to New Orleans.

This is based upon my experience in the times its happened.

BTW, make sure to file that AR-11 in Kentucky.

Alright, thanks for your reply Folinsky! I guess I'll just wait to know for sure if we're moving or not to file for AOS to avoid any complicated situation... I'd hate having to drive 10 hours to go to my interview too!
