Best advice I think, only believe the quote as accurate if they send someone around to look over your stuff...any quote over the phone will likely be a load of rubbish.

Re: Moving to NYC - any international removal co recommendations?
Just an update. I got quotes from both Anglo-Pacific and Crown. Crown is about £400 more expensive for the same cubic feet estimate.
I am leaning towards Anglo-Pacific more now because they repond to my questions swiftly and have already sent a info pack to my house. And arranged an estimator to come over next week to get a more accurate estimation.
While Crown, though seems friendly, has been a bit slow in reponse. Not sure if it's because they are very busy or our business is not big enough for them (we are only moving a one-bedroom flat, about 340 cubic feet)
The price I got from Anglo-Pacific is about £1880, Crown quoted £2299.
