MOVING NEXT MONTH...now what?
My husband and I have just bought our first home together (yipee!!!now we can move out of his parents place, and everything can be pulled out of storage).
My question is - who do I notify and how (i.e. letter, phone, etc.), as well as when it should be done. We're in Missouri (and BOY is it humid!).
Anybody?
Cheers!

You'll need to complete and mail an AR-11 within 10 days of your move.
It has been suggested that registered mail is the way to send this.
If your sponsor is also moving, he will need to complete an I-865. In
addtion, if you have anything pending with your regional service
center, you will also have to send them a letter since the BCIS does
not inform its service centers of changes of address.

Re: MOVING NEXT MONTH...now what?
BTW, Certified mail is the what you mean here. (Registered is for items of
value.)
We just moved across the US and I sent in these forms for me (as a sponsor)
and my wife as the PR.
Interestingly, I got back a NOA on my form but to date she has received
nothing on her form! Do they care more about the sponsors??
Good luck.

When we moved house, my wife (sponsor) also received a form saying they had received her change of address, but nothing for me, so I sent another copy. Called a few times to check on the status of my conditional greencard and was told that it was being processed.
I called again to check on the status and was told that the greencard had been sent out twice to our old address, even although a month earlier they said it was being processed, and had been returned and destroyed as it had been six months since it was issued. I had to file again for a replacement card, even although I had not received the original, although the fees were waived.
I very much agree with the concensus to send in your change of address form certified - this would have saved us a lot of phone calls, time and money if we had known. Wish we had found this forum earlier

Hi, Gryphon My fiance and I are here in Missouri, too. West of St. Louis. He arrived on a K1 and we're just hoping the AOS interview goes as well as getting the SSN! Yes, the weather here is exhausting! Good luck to you
