Moving Money from UK to US

Moving Money from UK to US
Is there anything I need to worry about moving money from the UK to the US. I need some money for a project and I'm liquidating some accounts. I wondered if there were tax implications or any other problems I could encounter moving large sums of cash into my checking account.

Oh heck, it's money from a endowment policy. Most of the money I got taxed on in the uk when I earned it from working. Some of it I guess is interest.... I guess I ask a tax guy how do deal with this.
