Clearlake...don't really know it that well...sister in law lived there when we first arrived about 11 years ago, and the area she was in wasn't that great. But we visited friends of friends down that way a couple of years back, and where they lived was gorgeous...nice subdivision backing onto the Armand Bayou Nature Reserve. They had 3 astronauts lived in their road - one of them was cutting his own lawn while we were there, which struck me as amusing for some reason.... I'm sure you'll do fine....just do some research when you get here and you'll soon see the difference in the areas

The local team, from where I lived for most of the ten years before I emigrated, won the FA cup, .... in 1988. (My house was just across the road from the site proposed for their new home ground a decade ago, and at at one time I rented about 500ft from their original home ground.) .... Now my local football team are hard pushed to win enough games to make it to the playoffs!

Just back from watching the Dynamo get thumped 3-0 by New York Red Bulls. First goal was in 8 seconds Some of them were still fiddling with their shoe laces and appeared to be appealing to the ref to restart. Professionals? For the rest of the game, New York didn't actually have many chances, but they took them. Dynamo were appalling...they made quite a few chances, but their forwards seemed to have forgotten how to kick a ball....seriously bad unforced errors...

Sorry, didn't mean to turn this into a sports thread, but if you are coming to Houston for professional sports, forget it
