Moving to Florida
Hi, I would like to move to Florida in a couple of years by myself. I have an Uncle living in the USA already, im not sure if that will help the move. I would like an Elementary School Teacher Job, What are the specific GCSE grades needed as I know England's is 5 C's
How do I move to Florida?
Thanks!!!

Please read up on the various visas in the Wiki - Pulaski's Ways is a good place to start.
Then come back with specific questions.

but that's (ahem) academic until you know which visa category you're eligible for:

[QUOTE=fatbrit;6665903]Your uncle is no use.
You generally need a degree to teach in a state school.
Even a degree does not get you a visa.[/QUOTE
Is a UK teachers degree ok?

B Ed would be a good start. I thought you needed that in the UK now.

Re: Moving to Florida
We're made up of 50 states, one district and a few odds and ends -- and there are that many boards. Go and see what Florida requires for you to be a certified teacher and get your certification. Then you get to the difficult part: finding someone who'll sponsor you for a visa. The person on this board with inside info is megasue -- PM her and ask. I seem to believe she'd found two boards who'd at least consider the idea.

Re: Moving to Florida
Get your degree in education ..A Masters would be better ...
add about 5-10years of experience ..then get that education
evaluated to Florida standards..then do the Florida addition courses
required.. then start looking for a job...
GCSE don't cut it ...
Do you know any Florida girls??

Re: Moving to Florida
looks like the Cs is the bare minimum that qualifies you for entry to more specific training/qualifications:
