Moving a gas-fired BBQ from Texas to London
Anyone taken their gas-fired Weber BBQ with them from the U.S back to the UK? I love mine and don’t want to part with it !

Moving a BBQ grill vs getting BBQ.
that said for a while the best BBQ I was getting was when I flew to SIN: https://www.deckerbarbecue.com/a-la-carte
it was right next to my hotel… which also had a Wolfgang's steakhouse in it…

Do you mean a Weber which starts up assisted by propane but then burns coals?
If so, the BBQ can go, the propane gas tanks can't...... so the question would be can I get propane tanks to fit on my Weber in the UK?
Or are you talking about a fully powered gas grill (propane or main's gas?)

Although they are great, I would be cautious about a Traeger (also available in UK) only because they are pellet sensitive - i.e. if you use non Traeger pellets one pretty much screw up the auger and the grill/smoker and so, basically game over; from what I've been told.

Regarding the specifics of the question, I have had experience with this kind of thing - on a much smaller scale than a grill, camping stoves.
The rules are, absolutely no containers of stuff wot goes bang (although you may take a full petrol Zippo lighter on board, on your person) you may however bring your gas fired whatever IF it is cleaned of all residue and odour free. A TSA agent makes the final decision and whilst I have not yet had a problem I do have two relatives who've had their stoves confiscated at departure airport.
If it's fittings at the UK end that are of concern, it is easy enough to interchange the two standard regulators used in the UK so there isn't any reason why someone with a Stanley knife, a flat headed screwdriver and minimal practical skills can figure out how to tighten a jubilee clip between a UK regulator and a US rubber pipe. Heck for a couple of pennies more you could even put a nice new rubber pipe on there.
*Disclaimer: When I say 'rubber pipe' we can actually rule out, for this job, all DIYers who think I mean actual rubber.
