But are the chefs at least genuine Indian people, who actually come from there, or at least have studied & learned genuine Indian cuisine there, instead of what we get where I am located - alleged Indian food is "put together" by Mexicans among various other nationals and who seem to have borrowed a Indian cookery book from the local library before opening their "authentic" restaurant.

They don't like Indian food so I have been to several places by myself. Quite often, I have been the only white person in there.
My theory is if the Indians eat there, it must be good.

If this is to hard, maybe consider a HB-1 visa (temporary work visa). It may not be perfect, but you might get sponsored later on once your in America.
If all else fails, maybe try an E-2 visa. It does mean you have to buy a business, but if it succeeds, it could be very benificial.
