Moved to the UK mid-year
Hi everyone,
Wife and I moved to the UK on 1st of September 2018. We were in the US for 3 years under L1/L2 visas. I filed all previous years taxes via TurboTax myself. I've started filing this year taxes and according to TurboTax my UK income (from the date I moved till end of tax year) is also taxable in the US even though taxes were already paid in the UK. Am I missing something? Is it recommend to seek CPA assistance in such cases? Tried to search on the forum but did not find similar situation. Thanks! |
