You seem a nice boy and I would go to your pizza place! The pizzas here in the US are crap. I prefer them in England or even better in Italy or Sweden (the pizza places there are usually run by foreigners of course).

Having said that I think I agree with the other, it would never work to get you a visa for the US.

Go to California on holiday and maybe you'll meet someone special there...

If it's just me at home, I usually get a small pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni, or perhaps a combo pizza with ham and pineapple, or my newest favorite, a combo of pepperoni, bacon, and pineapple. If hubby is at home with me, we get a large pizza, either veggie toppings (but no mushrooms, I hate them with a passion), or the combo of pepperoni, bacon, and pineapple. For what it's worth, I prefer Barro's, hubby prefers Papa Johns. (Hubby is Iranian, in case you didn't get that from my profile.LOL)

For just me, at Barro's, a small pizza is about $7 plus tax. When hubby is home, the large pizza at Papa Johns runs around $18.

Usually just me. If hubby is home, then just the 2 of us. Might every once in a while have pizza with a friend, in that case it would also just be the 2 of us.

Perhaps! If you open something in the east valley of Phoenix, I'll be sure to try it. I don't think I've ever tried cannelloni, not sure what that is. Will have to google it.

Edit to add: You mention "takeaway", but being American I'm not exactly sure what that is. I guess it's when you call in an order ahead of time and then go pick it up yourself? I rarely do this, unless I call it in on my way home from work and pick it up, since it's right near my house (Barro's). Otherwise, hubby and I call in the order and have it delivered, which I sometimes do when I'm alone, too. Delivery seems a lot more popular than pickup. And I haven't seen an "eat-in" pizza place in absolutely ages. Italian restaurants, yes, but not specifially pizza places. Also, if you're thinking of opening just one neighborhood pizza place and not a chain, you will only get customers maybe within a 5 mile radius of your shop. No one drives halfway across town just to get a pizza.

I love gourmet pizza. Have it every Friday. I get mine from Round Table.
My wife and I buy a large for around $20.00. We have one or two small slices and make a large salad.
That $20.00 lasts us for about three weeks.

As indicated though small businesses like this start and fail regularly. Even when it's fairly successful they don't make a lot of money in a short time. Nothing to do with advertising or price, the population either doesn't support large turnover or when it does, the big boys step in and they have clout to pay for tv advertising. And CPK, California Pizza Kitchen, is definitely gourmet.

You should consider a franchise although I'm not sure of the visa implications.
