Motor Insurance & Health cost in Florida

Hi Everyone,

Will motor insurance cost a whole lot more because I'm new? And from your experiences out there how much will a people carrier or minivan typically cost to insure per annum in the state of Florida.

Secondly which Health Insurances companies and plans would you guys recomend for expats?

Of course it will cost you more ..you start with a clean slate ...
most motor insurance is sold for 6 months at a time .not a year ..
Initially say $800-$1500 per 6 months ..cheaper rate for when you
have your US licence
Health ..you take your chance ..and may God be with you ...

Well it will be expensive to start with,we arrived Nov 2004,and our first ins for the car was $1200...for six months !!
That was with Nationwide.
When we renewed we used Geico they charged $800 for six months.
We renew again in Dec, so I am hoping it will come down again.
Health Ins is a nightmare. We run ours through our biz,we use Eatna, and it costs us $540 a month,,,tax deductabe ,for the two of us. We run it through the biz as that covers pre existing conditions.

If we don't hear from AWP, does this mean he was hit by a redneck in a pickup when he grabbed that nugget? :D
