EDIT: I should have looked at the mirror article first.

I seem to remember those words being said about Scott Peterson!

As I understood the story, he had left the country 2 days before the murders, and was in England. The local police on CBS news said they had been in contact and he was being cooperative.

Sounds like a dope deal gone bad...he absconded, and the wife and baby paid the piper.

Something fishy going on like I said earlier. He was unemployed yet they just moved into a house being rented at $3k a month and there was a BMW M3 in a few photos of the family. His dad was a miner, so prob no money from his side of the family.
I agree that maybe he owed a few quid or something and people came looking for him - from police reports the killings themselves were done very clinically - maybe by someone with prior experience of such things.
Not sure if that makes him any less of a c*** or not, as you'd wonder how he did a runenr but left the wife and kid behind.
I think that this could be a very interesting story if the truth ever comes out.

yeh, I find it strange he has not come forward to beg for any information on their killings (or even shown his face at all!).

There was no sign of anyone breaking in the home and the crime seen was clean meaning they probably knew their killer. Also no one heard from them from Thursday night , he left Friday and they had visitors come around for a pre-planned dinner party on Saturday (hence the alarm being raised on Sunday after no one answered ). I know if I had a 9 month old I would not be planning dinner parties without my husbands help and if I knew he was going on a trip I would postpone it until he came back! Suspect, very suspect.

Am I right in thinking they haven't released the time of death yet?

I don't know.... also from the bbc, "The 27-year-old, from Worksop, Notts, disappeared after the bodies of his American wife Rachel and nine-month-old daughter Lillian were found on Sunday."

Maybe you ought to look at the context before getting personal pal. Eg a reply to this...

This morning on CBS they reported that it seems as though he MAY indeed have been in the US at the time of the killings...and that he apparently will not be coming back for the funerals. Seems the prosecuter in Mass is being awfully close lipped on the whole deal, especially the timeline.

i heard this morning that with gun shot wounds to the stomach the person dies a slow death so imagine that poor baby...the perpetrator inflicted the final blow to the mother (but not her baby) with a gun shot to the head.... the poor little one must have been screaming in agony...ohh can't bear to think of it
