Here Are the Most Innovative States in America - Bloomberg Business

It seems we are :D

Not counting revenue but number of outfits in a confined area knocked CA off top spot by a tiny margin.

Didn't seem to much of a surprise at the bottom end of the scale though.

Any surprises in that list?

There's some weird things going on in the ranking table, in the first two "break out" columns, with Alaska ranked #2 on "Productivity", and New Mexico ranked #1 on "R&D Intensity".

If they went by revenue or value of the companies it would be hard to impossoble to beat CA as long as Apple remains healthy and does their thing there.

Not surprised MA and CA are more or less equal. Both have many good universities and are fairly modern forward thinking places.
