Default mortgage application help

Hi All,

Has anyone apply for a mortgage loan lately? I need to locate any lenders who are willing to loan money to people with H1-B fast. I am located in Chicago. Could you give me some contacts?

Thanks!!!

Lee,

Open a local newspaper. Read the ads. Call the numbers.

I think there are loads of them. I've had mortgages (all FHA) from Washington Mutual, Fleet, Homeside, and currently Wells Fargo.

Hi - I'm currently dealing with someone in work buying a house here in TN and they are on H1B - they are going through Wells Fargo and its an FHA loan. Also, the seller is paying their closing costs - and it seems like they are even going to end up with a refund cheque. It seems to be pretty common here - not sure about the rest of the States - for the seller to cover the purchaser's legal fees/closing costs. Just call them and explain your situation. Good luck!

i am currently dealing with wells fargo MORTGAGE

they seem pretty reaonable - i've had a bit of bullshit from them but they soon got put in their place

There is also a wells fargo FINANCIAL who are a sub prime lender and have a bad rep

whether the seller pays closing depends pretty much entirely on the status of the property market and how in demand the house is... in a hot area then you have no chance of the seller paying closing

i got a halfway where they are paying title insurance - worth about a grand

look at www.bankrate.com

as always - do you research
