[QUOTE=kins;6081479]If he comes over on an L1 is he covered by UK or US employee protection laws?
QUOTE]

Not sure about all L1 transferees, it might depend on individual deals struck with employers?

My husband has an expat deal where he remains completely on his UK terms and conditions.

Viks - you're welcome to pick my brains - I'm by no means an expert, we're just taking things one step at a time... How long has your husband been working for JPM? Where are you based, London?

Hi

We are both based in Bournemouth Campus, we currently both work for JP but I am on a contract and Hubby is Perm, has been for 3+ years.
Were very excited, but still a long way off.

When you want to answer a post, in the bottom right corner you'll see a blue box which says "quote". Just click on that, it will automatically quote the post you are responding to. :)

Hi Rene - thanks for the reply. That's exactly what I did, but the formatting just didn't seem to come out neatly :(- probably something I did...

This one looks ok....

Looks to me that for some reason you deleted the '[' from the last [ QUOTE]. If you delete any character from the first or last words in the [ ] it messes all the quote up.

JerseyGirl - thanks, you are so clever!

Yes I did edit the quote to take out stuff and must have lost the ] as well.

I shall watch out for that in future...
