More Flag fun
The town board in the small community west of Las Vegas voted this week to make it illegal to fly a foreign nation's flag by itself

Re: More Flag fun
that's pretty ridiculous...they say flags that illegals bring with them, so what if someone weren't illegal then? What would they do?
And what happened to freedom of speech, okay, this would be expression...but still... |

Re: More Flag fun
I found this bit interesting....because so many other countries flags are flown below the USA one...
When flags of two or more nations are displayed, they are to be flown from separate staffs of the same height. The flags should be of approximately equal size. International usage forbids the display of the flag of one nation above that of another nation in time of peace. |

To make it law, again would supercede the US constitution. |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Flag_Code "These are US Federal law, but there is no penalty for failure to comply with them and they are not widely enforced — indeed, punitive enforcement would conflict with the First Amendment right to freedom of speech, as the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled when the subject has come up in the past." |
