I am flying home next week and what I did was to purchase a 2nd hand phone (looks like new) of eBay to use. It was locked to the t-mobile network but I searched around online and got a code for it and it is now unlocked. I have a bunch of free 02 sim cards waiting for my at my parents home that I intend to use. I have a PAYG Virgin Mobile phone that I use here in the states but it doesn't work back home. HTH.
