Minneapolis POE?

Nothing much new happening down here these days but I'd like to know....

Has anyone used Minneapolis as their POE? Looking for feedback. We're entering with an Immigrant Visa and have a connection to make. 3 hours *should* be enough time, but curious about recent US travel as the airports can be a bit...um...backed up these days.

Hi:

I can't speak for Hubert Humphrey Airport -- however, US aiports have generally become like international departures anywhere -- you have to go through security to get from the general terminal area into the boarding gate area.

Also, immigrant inspection is not done at the front line of inspectors -- you will always get referred to "secondary inspection." It is the nature of the beast.

I think three hours is cutting it way too tight.

I agree. Since you are entering on an immigrant visa, you ahve to give yourself 2-3 hours for that process depending on the lines . Then you have to go through customs, recheck and run for your next plane. My advice, take the next connection from Minneapolis.

That would be prudent. Ofcourse, you might post later and say that you were the only one in secondary inspection and it took you 15 minutes!
