Can anyone help with Middle school transfer forms in GA (Cobb County). We anticipate arriving in Marietta, GA during the summer recess, and we want to get our daughter enrolled into school. The allocated middle school is not right for our daughter. We have a chance of applying for a more fitting school in another area via the transfer system. I just wondered if anyone has had this experience, and had any tips.

Thank you......I've been there and everywhere! I searched all day, today is the 1st day of transfers and we have a shot at a distinguished school, as apposed to a school thats been in need improvement status for the past 2 years..............finally found the answer in an Act of Congress that gives us the right to choice because of the status of the local school. Phew!! Clarified the information with Georgia State Department of Education...........so I'm praying Cobb Co. Board of Ed. won't give us any trouble, because they should have told us about this when I asked them about choice! Anyway, we are informed now so I can fax this transfer form off tomorrow.
