I'm flying next week to Mississippi for a week's visit with my daugther and grandsons. Celebrating Wy's 4th birthday and Zach's baptism (both on the same day). Since I will be changing planes in Memphis and I've never been there before, I checked out the website for the airport.

Was I pleasantly surprised. Had all the information a traveler needs in a quick, easy and informative format, from terminal layouts, which airlines uses which terminal, names of food places in each terminal, etc. Wish the rest of the country's airports would use this guide as a template.

Have you been to Memphis airport before? It's not a big place so you should be fine.

All I know about Memphis is it's where the FedEx hub for flights to/from the UK is.

We went via Memphis when we came back from Vegas, it is quite small airport, not a whole lot of shops, restaurants etc.

For passenger flights its quite a compact but efficient airport I found.

Fedex is the dominant airline there, mostly in the early mornings and evenings.

I've never been there before. Normally when I go to MS, I fly into either NO or Biloxi/Gulfport and then the kids have to pick me up which is 1-1/2 hours each way. But Laurel is only a 20 minute ride and the fare was great so I grabbed it.

I had assumed it would be a small airport but I was very pleasantly surprised by the website which was so efficient.
