well I tried the curry sauce mix... not bad... but certainly NOT as good as the local chippy near my parents place in Yorkshire.

4 pk of Hovis Tea Cakes $3.79
1 pound of danish bacon $9.59
1pk of sausage (contains 5 large sausages) $6.49

Some other things they had was Youngs Fish Shop style fish cakes.
Kipper fillets.
Fish Fingers.
They also had shelf space (but were out of) Hovis Luxury Scones and Hovis Crumpets.
Remember, the sausage and bacon are made in America according to English recipes/methods...no British meat imports allowed. I found a local specialty market that makes British sausage (& Irish) for $4.99 a pound. Since there are a lot of Brits in the area, they ask that you call ahead if you plan on wiping them out for the day. They even made a few pounds for me while a waited last weekend because a Brit had bought it all earlier that morning. The taste was just a little spicier than what my husband was used to....but we both really like them for the price! They also freeze well.

You may ask your local non-chain store if they have the ability to do the same.

It was not english bacon... it was Danish back bacon... imported from Denmark (according to the label).
