Ignoring every other ridiculous thing you have said, how can you be so clueless about how insurance works?

If (and I think that this is unlikely) the OP seriously wants to get elective surgery done in a country other than the UK then he might want to consider what an increasing number of Americans do in order to avoid the horrific cost of having it done in the US and think about going to India or Mexico.

Can I purchase health insurance from a U.S based insurance company when in the U.S on the VWP I know obama's healthcare bill doesn't extend to illegials but I would be on the VWP

If a medical bill were to go unpaid because the travel insurance refused to pay and the person an adult me 28 years of age couldn't pay - I have access to money but am uncertain of the cost - would the hospital move to seize my parents house for the payment I live with my parents at the moment bearing in mind I am an adult under the law in both U.S and UK ? Would a warrant be issued for my arrest would the police attempt to track me down. I am not suggesting skipping out on the bill on purpose but if went unpaid would law enforcement become involved?
Lets get this straight, you want to buy car insurance after the crash &they pay for the repairs. You want to buy auto repair warranty, after the wheels fall off.

I need some of this.

Its another leg pull

Your probably right.
I want to get insurance that you buy after the fact. Up the revolution, I hate insurance companies.

Bowenja,

You are clearly in need of urgent medical attention and I am a world leading surgeon who can attend to your needs here is the UK rather than risking the inferior medical system of the US.

Helpfully my wife is a nurse and my brother is an undertaker.

Now, what would you like done?

Judicious use of carelessly running with scissors is a much cheaper route to a full frontal lobotomy.

No, really, don't mention it. I'm happy to have saved you the airfare and the insurance worries.

I wonder if the Park Avenue dentist, ever got paid? They probably have a hit out on you. Don't go back to NYC, you know they have facial recognition cameras, all over Manhattan.

is it April 1st already?
