Default Medical Insurance Question

Until recently I have not needed to take out USA medical insurance but now that I am in between jobs, I need to do so.

I live part-time in Arizona and part-time in London and as medical insurance costs are very expensive in the USA I have been looking at alternatives including spending more time in the UK and taking out annual multi-trip travel medical insurance. However, it occurred to me that others may have found a less expensive option of which I am unaware. Does anyone know of any medical insurance packages either here or from the UK that my wife and I might consider?

Many thanks.

What visa are you using to stay in the US?

And travel insurance from the UK won't do you any good, they're generally, even annual policies cover a maximum of 90 days at a go and if anything happens they'll repatriate you.

Check out einsurance.com and search the forums, plenty of threads on medical insurance lately.

I would be very careful about taking out travel insurance if you are living in the US for part of the year. Read the small print and get it in writing that they will cover you.
