Default Medical examination - Hep B

I understand that the Hep B vaccinations consist of three injection-doses over six months. Does this mean that INS will force the patient to wait six months until he has immunisation against Hep B?

Hi,
I can only speak for the London INS interview.
We had our interview today in London and my daughter had
only had 2 of the 3 injections.
They were OK with that as long as she has her last one within
6 months of arriving in the US..
I hope this helps.

*If* you need the Hep B course of injections (and adults don't, at least not in the
countries I know of) then you just need to be "current" - e.g. if you've just had
an injection that's fine but if you had the first nine months ago and haven't had
the second, that's not. You are expected to complete the course in the US but
unless you are adjusting status and need to supply the vaccination supplement, they
will never check.

Andy.

Thanks. Just had the first appointment and they said I didn't need the Hep B vaccinations. Actually I found my medical record that stated I already had the vaccinations done -- guess I forgot -- but I didn't even need to show the doctor that.

My daughter only had 1 of the three shots when she entered the US, we had to do the
second one within 3 month after entering, and the last one 6 months after that (which
would have been november 2001), but since we forgot she got her last shot last week,
no one ever asked any questions...
