Marrying a resident alien...

I'm engaged to an Englishman living here as a resident alien. I'm a U.S. citizen in the military and so is he. He recently applied for his citizenship (he plans on re-enlisting) but I'm wondering if he has to be naturalized before we can get married...CAN we get married if he's still waiting on his citizenship or do we have to wait? (we planned on getting married in Nov., in the US). much thanks for any help!:)

Yes, you can certainly get married, even if he weren't a resident
alien. Good luck. However, I'm not sure what one does if the
circumstances described on the N-400 change after it's been filed.
