Marry Now or Fiance Visa
I'm an American male who has fallen love with a Thai woman here in America on a 6 month Tourist visa. Our love is legit and we had no contact before her visit here. What is the best way to get married? Do we get married here before her Visa is up or is it smarter to let her go back to Thailand and then start the Fiance Visa? Also, she is thinking of staying here after her Visa is up in January. She will then be illegal. I assume by doing that she destroys any chance of getting married. Any advice on the best way to handle this.

Visa overstays are forgiven for people marrying US citizens. If she overstays by more than 180 days, she should NOT leave the US until status has been adjusted. Additionally, any overstay may cause problems in her getting a visa if things don't work out between the two of you. (Yes, Mark, I am being realistic here) |
