I think it's unfair to make your husband go with you though.

Lardyarse was such a good nickname for the other half until he actually deciphered what I was saying and found out what it meant....

I've just gone out and had a word with the dingo. Due to his heavy Australian accent he was difficult to understand at first. I was eventually able to break through the cultural barrier.... he is very gentle and often misunderstood because of his extreme appearance. He and my leg have made a date for Friday night. :D

Remember to shave...I had a helluva time getting crispy crunchy stuff out of my legs hairs.

So im more curious that you felt it neccesary to stop being the American when you moved to Britain rather than revert when you came back.

But anyway I was just being idly anal in pointing out the spelling.

So you think I'm spelling this way because I'm trying to "fit in"? The fact that I got used to spelling that way and doing other things doesn't mean anything? Hmmm.....interesting.

And the fact that I felt it necessary to stop being American? Because I spelled differently, drove on the other side of the road, put the day before the month, did a whole host of things? Was I supposed to not do those things in the UK because I was American? Sorry, I didn't get the manual they sent out to American Expats.....

I see, so the minute I landed back on American soil, I was supposed to revert back to the things I did prior to leaving? I'm so glad you informed me of this.

I also post on a Duran Duran message board, and it makes me laugh when Americans on there use British spelling just because the band is from England.

Personally, I use US spelling when writing officially or professionally, but stick to British spelling when corresponding personally. :)
