Default Manchester to San Francisco Flights

Hi guys

I am soon to be visiting San Francisco towards the end of October. I am living in Manchester.

Just wanted to check if anyone knows of an airline other than BA for this trip?

BA is mainly Manc > London Heathrow > SFO

With American Airlines and Virgin costing more than BA.

Any alternatives to check out? Or is it BA all the way?

thanks in advance

KLM you go through Amsterdam MAN- Amsterdam-SFO
Airfrance go through Paris sometimes
Check them all,
Swissair
Lufthansa
all go through a hub in Europe it seems.
I hate US Air and AA with a passion we've had horrible old planes and cranky cabin crew each time we flew with them.

Im going via Amsterdam to San Fran (from Teesside) on tuesday. Good flight over from San Fran on KLM
Otherwise check out United/Continental from heathrow to SF (I found it fine). I did Manchester to Sanfran via JFK on Delta but wouldnt do it again.

Continental with one change of plane via Newark would normally be an option BUT very expensive at this late stage and usually only a Boeing 757 on the MAN-EWR leg, a narrowbody aircraft which some people find inadequate for transatlantic journeys.

Try expedia, travelocity or kayak. You'll quickly know all the options you have.
