Making a will...

Re: Making a will...
I think the previous threads explain. Mum died and dad has since remarried and made his new wife primary beneficiary etc. etc. I know that my sisters and I were named as beneficiaries in his previous will. I'm wondering how this new situation changes things as far as US law is concerned. They live in California.

Thanks to all those posters who have given useful advice. Your help is very much appreciated. To those naughty! expats who have nothing better to do but nose around other peoples stuff and, when all said and done, be pretty useless (You know who you are) you're best off where you are.

IM9907620 is correct in pointing out that you really ought to get separate Wills for both countries. Each State in the US has different rules concerning Wills so be sure to take sound legal advice for whichever jurisdiction you are in.
