I take all of my mail for the UK to the post office and let them work out the postage, and apply all of the right stickers. And not a single one has failed to arrive.

You can check the rates at USPS.com, but I'm pretty sure it was 80c; I used to stick 3x37c on and every one of my letters has arrived.

Can't say the same for parcels from the UK sent via Royal Mail though, I'm still waiting on one that has taken 3 weeks so far; in Chicago they used to only take a week.

Thanks for the tip thought that England in big caps would of done the job.

Yeah, but that's just it, you'd think!!! Some people don't think! Many a time I've told people that I'm from England & they've asked me "New England?". Maybe the same thing happens with the post!!! I write ENGLAND in big caps at the bottom too, as well as the Airmail sticker & it's worked so far. Good luck, I hope they all arrive safe & sound!

Is this a competition? I only ever use a single 80c stamp. They do sell them in the Post Offices you know...

Don't quote me on this but I think all overseas postage costs 80c. Canada and Mexico have a different rate.

Here's the link to the USPS website:

http://ircalc.usps.gov/

Incidently, my parcel arrived just a minute ago.

We also only have one car. I have to walk a mile to the next town to use their post office (I've lived here 8 months and I still walk places -am I odd?).

Because I'm specifically sending it to England, not Wales, Ireland or Scotland! It's worked for me so far, so why change anyway?
