Magnolia, TX. Who else has moved here?

I have searched I swear so don't shoot me lol. Anyway, after 19 months in Oz and almost 6 years in Utah we now live in Magnolia, TX. And we would love to connect with some other Brit expats :) So, who else lives here?

You are quite the world traveler. I bet Texas is a bit different to Utah eh...and OZ for that matter..

I have a few friends at work who live all the way out there. It seems to be somewhere people move to who grew up in the country and now work in Houston.

lol yes - addicted to travel. Plus I lived in CT and Saskatchewan when I was younger. I like the adventure.

So no other Brits here then. Maybe we should have picked Katy lol. Everyone seems to live there.

We live in Montgomery County, about 25 miles from Magnolia. We have been in Oz this last 10 weeks and won't be back until Thanksgiving. Since retiring we spend 5 - 7 months every year away from Texas to avoid the heat.

Happy to meet up once we are back.

I think Katy is already full!! Time to build another subdivision.....

We're down in Katy, so around 40 miles, 50 minutes from you, at least until the new section of 99 is finished.

Keep your eyes open for a meetup thread, but don't get too excited. We just chum the water then decide its all too difficult and let it quietly fade away. We do meet regularly though - around once a decade seems to be the current frequency, so I'd mark your calendar for 2022-23ish.

ps - from the radar, it looks like you got pounded pretty well by the same storm that hit us this morning. Hope you're staying dry!
