This is so special, seven wins! Imho, this special :cool: win by Lance and his automatic retirement from cycling deserved its own thread.

I have cycled a bit, I take my hat of to all those who finished the race.

To win it 7 times is unbelievable, not likely to be repeated in our life times.

He can not actually stop riding straightaway, likely to cause major medical issues, he has to wind down over several months!

I'm just looking forward to next year's race - should be a lot more interesting than it has been for the last couple of years.

Probably true, but it won't get nearly as much media attention in the US as this year's.

It'll still be on OLN though with Paul Sherwin and Phil Liggett (just like the old channel 4 days). At least it's on TV here, god knows where you can see it in the UK.

It should get more attention there in 2007 as I heard they're planning a stage for London.

I did feel slightly embarrased for them when they had to do the adverts, showed in their voices big time!

had to laugh though, the "lucky 7" commercials were pretty lame, especially when Paul Sherwin was yelping around..."bobby".... :o
