Here's what I did:
* called credit card company and blocked credit card
* called Transunion and had an 'initial 90 day fraud alert' put on his account so nobody can get credit with his SSN. They will inform Equifax and Experian
* called the police station to set up an appointment to file a report
* got paperwork ready for new driver license
His hunting and fishing licenses apparently don't matter too much as far as identity theft goes, I guess.
I have the feeling that there's more I (yes I, he's hopeless in situations like this ) should do, that I'm overlooking something.
I actually worry too about kidlet's pictures being in their with our address. Yes, I'm paranoid when it comes to the little one.
Any thoughts and comments?

True, I have a pocket full of cards, but at least I should only lose one at a time. The real Texan wannabe cowboys around here have those giant wallets that stick out of their back pockets - I always imagine them as a tourist on the underground

Lost my wallet a few weeks back, retraced the bar crawl and found it at one of the bar with all cards and money still in it.
Split my cards up now and only carry a certain amount of cash.

Re: Lost wallet... action to take?
I rarely have cash on me, I always use my cards, it helps to keep track of my money. Does anyone have any of those key chain credit cards? That has to be the dumbest invention I've ever seen! I told a friend of mine that had them here that they were a silly idea & that if she ever lost her keys, it would be like losing her wallet too. Needless to say, a few days later, she lost her keys. Luckily she found them at the store she was just at, she had put them down to look at a t-shirt, luckily for her, no one else picked them up & she found them 45 minutes later. She took the mini cards off straight away.
By the way, yes I must be psychic, this kinda thing happens to me all the time!!!
