Default The Los Angeles earthquake

Living near Los Angeles it was very scary last Tuesday when the 5.4 magnitude earthquake hit the area. I have lived in the area for more than 40 years and so have been witness to several stronger earthquakes some with fatalities, but the last one was one of the most violent, albeit for just a few seconds.
Living just a few miles from the epicenter, and the quake being a thrust quake and also being relatively shallow, (only seven miles deep), we living a few miles east of downtown LA got the brunt of the effects, but even then it was just a toppled wall or two and quite a few broken plate glass windows, but it sue does 'shake you up !! No pun intended.
Was anyone else in the area and if so, how did you fare ??

If you look real closely you will find that there were about 20 other threads throughout this forum on the earthquake.

Glad to hear you're safe though
